Welcome to Scaffidi's Hideout!

Scaffidi’s Hideout owners, Mark and Rick, were born and raised on the East Side of Milwaukee, just a few blocks away from the bar they would come to own. Before it was Scaffidi’s Hideout; however, it was known as Gary’s Hideout, owned by their mother Shirley and stepfather Gary, since 1971. While their family owned the bar, they did some initial remodeling to make room for a second pool table.

From a young age, brothers Don, Tony, Rick and Mark helped out at the bar doing odd jobs, cleaning, bar-backing, and eventually bartending.

In 1986, Mark, Rick, and Don, who was a partner for about ten years, bought the bar from their mom and stepfather. Shortly thereafter, they undertook a complete remodel with the help of Gary, their father Paul, and their uncles Joe and Tom. The bar kept normal business hours while being completely gutted and rebuilt. Patrons remained loyal and patient during the demo and construction process, most seemed to enjoy hearing the hammering and seeing the progress. The bar was updated to include a third pool table and the unique woodwork décor.

Throughout the various remodels and over 40 years in the same family, two things have remained the same, the original bar top, and the loyalty of our “regulars”. The brothers have created a unique atmosphere where everyone is like family. You can meet Mark and Rick any given night after 10pm! We’d love to make you a part of the Scaffidi’s Hideout family!

Saturday: 2pm to 2:30am
